SfN continues advancing the importance of basic neuroscience and biomedical research alongside our coalition partners. Recently, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) released a proposed rule (OMB-2026-0034) that would significantly change how federal grants and cooperative agreements are awarded, managed, and terminated across the federal government. The rule would revise the "Uniform Guidance," the government-wide framework governing federal financial assistance, by elevating what are currently recommendations on federal grantmaking into binding requirements with the force of law.
Join the SfN Advocacy Team and their legislative advisors at CRD Associates, LLC., for this members-only, off-the-record conversation about the proposed rule and other recent actions that have the potential to affect the scientific enterprise. We will discuss the current state of play, next steps in maximizing your effectiveness as a #NeuroAdvocate, and provide an opportunity to ask your questions.
We appreciate your continued support of SfN’s programming and your feedback. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact SfN at advocacy@sfn.org.
