Wenrui Xie, PhD

Wenrui Xie is a research assistant professor in the department of anesthesiology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. She obtained her PhD from the University of Cincinnati, doing key work on the importance of abnormal spontaneous activity in sensory neurons in establishing the chronic pain state. She is a consummate experimentalist and has developed numerous methods for locally manipulating sensory neuron function in vivo.
