Jun Wang, PhD

Jun Wang is an assistant professor in the department of neuroscience and experimental therapeutics at the College of Medicine, Texas A&M Health Science Center. His research concentrates on identifying the neurobiological basis of neuropsychiatric diseases particularly the alcohol use disorder. He has published a series of articles, including four in JNeurosci, on how alcohol modulates glutamatergic transmission in the dorsal striatum, as well as on how to reduce excessive alcohol intake through dorsostriatal mechanisms.
