Resources to Enhance Scientific Rigor
Embedding scientific rigor in every aspect of the research process, from experimental design to manuscript preparation, is critical to the present and future success of neuroscience.

Embedding scientific rigor in every aspect of the research process, from experimental design to manuscript preparation, is critical to the present and future success of neuroscience. This collection includes resources from SfN and outside partners to help neuroscientists implement rigorous practices in their scientific and professional lives and will be continually updated as new materials become available.
Notably, these resources have been developed and compiled as part of SfN’s two scientific rigor training programs produced in partnership with NIH. They are:
TMEDR
The Training Modules to Enhance Data Reproducibility program ran from 2016-2018 and focused on resources related to rigorous experimental design, data analysis, and reproducibility.
FRN
The Foundations of Rigorous Neuroscience Research program will run from 2019-2022 and produce resources related to scientific culture and interpersonal factors that influence rigorous practices both in and outside the lab.
