Sergiy Yakovenko, PhD
Sergiy Yakovenko, PhD, is an associate professor at West Virginia University, where his lab studies the neuromechanical principles of motor control using experimental and computational approaches. Yakovenko received a BS in biophysics from the School of Radiophysics at Kharkiv National University in Ukraine and his PhD in neuroscience at the University of Alberta in Canada under the mentorship of Arthur Prochazka. He conducted his postdoctoral work with Trevor Drew at the University of Montreal and has also worked as a fellow in the Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin and a visiting scholar at the University of Pittsburgh.
