John Cryan is a professor and chair in the department of anatomy and neuroscience at University College Cork in Ireland. Cryan’s research interest includes the neurobiological basis of stress-related neuropsychiatric disorders between the brain, gut, and microbiome, and how it applies to stress and immune-related disorders like obesity. He is also interested in applying novel approaches to facilitate drug or siRNA delivery to the brain in vivo.
