Andrew Strohman
Andrew Strohman (he/him) is an MD and PhD student at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine and the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute. His research investigates low-intensity focused ultrasound (LIFU) as a novel non-invasive brain stimulation technique to modulate deep brain regions and improve the lives of people suffering from chronic pain. He hopes one day to become a physician-scientist that can move from the bench to the bedside to develop new therapies for a range of disorders and get them directly into the hands of patients.
