Anastasiia Gryshyna
Anastasiia Gryshyna (she/her/hers) is a doctoral student at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). She received her master’s degree in nanotechnology at the University of Central Florida and became fascinated with neuroscience and techniques that can be used to study our brain. Her current interests are in basic science and pelvic pain. Gryshyna’s current work explores the role of inflammatory mediators in the development of chronic pelvic pain, and she uses techniques like electrophysiology and rodent fMRI to gain a better understanding about physiology of pelvic pain. Outside of the lab, she enjoys hiking, training Jiu jitsu, and spending time with her family.
