Derek L. Buhl, PhD, is the scientific director of AbbVie. With over a decade of experience in the industry, Buhl is responsible for the translational strategy for CNS disorders in late-stage discovery and across clinical development stages, first-in-human, proof-of-mechanism, proof-of-concept, registration studies as well as life cycle management studies. He earned his bachelor’s degrees in psychology and a PhD in neuroscience from Rutgers University-Newark.

Cynthia Lemere, PhD, is a professor of neurology in the Ann Romney Center for Neurologic Diseases at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston. Lemere’s research focuses on using the immune system therapeutically for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease.
